It’s that time of year when the megayacht ‘milk run’ switches from an autumnal Mediterranean to a close-to-perfect Caribbean climate that has put its hurricane season behind it. We’ve put together a trio of tempting masted lovelies all available for charter in the Caribbean this winter. Phone a rich friend now…

Whirlwind – Built by the renowned Holland Jachtbouw shipyard, 27.43 metre Whirlwind’s (Ex-“Aeolian”) classic lines and tall rig make for sensational sailing. Meticulously maintained since her launch in 1998, award-winning designer Andrew Winch has recently completely transformed the interior such that it now looks better than ever and the feeling of spaciousness and tranquillity is perfect for a relaxing break under azure blue Caribbean skies. Accommodates six guests in three cabins with the benefit of wifi, iPod compatibility and a range of sporting equipment from kayaks to waterskis, fishing equipment to diving gear. Whirlwind is off to the Caribbean this winter and offers an exceptionally attractive low season rate of 19,950 euros per week (approx. £17,400).

Clear Eyes – This fine 43.13 metre ketch is about to set sail on an unforgettable 19 month voyage around the world. Starting the winter season in the Caribbean, Clear Eyes will then head west towards the Panama Canal, Galapagos and French Polynesia for summer 2012. She offers huge volume and a spacious interior layout which can generously accommodate ten guests in five cabins. Bountiful extras include GSM wireless, a mast camera connected to the main saloon TV to check out distant beaches, a two-seater Jetski Seadoo, Laser dinghy and a selection of waterski, wakeboard, kayaks and snorkelling gear. Clear Eyes’ Caribbean rate is 95,000 USD per week (approx. £60,700).

Velacarina – Available for the first time in the Caribbean this winter, 25 metre Velacarina is like all Truly Classic sailing yachts and has a sweeping flush deck and large deck salon – this area is a much-appreciated feature of the Truly Classic series as meals and drinks can be served in the shelter of the deck house where guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery in comfort, even in adverse weather. All cabins, the salon and the galley have hull portholes, creating a light and bright interior. In addition she has a transom that can drop to create perfect access to the water and the tender. Velacarina’s racing green hull and traditional interior make her another Truly Classic jewel in this ever growing series of world-class sailing yachts. Accommodates four sleeping guests in two double cabins. The perfect yacht for island-hopping in the Caribbean this winter from just 35,000 USD per week (approx. £22,400).
