Sunseeker Predator 53

At the back end of last year we introduced you to the all-new Sunseeker Manhattan 53 that was launched in a media storm at the September Cannes and Southampton Boat Shows.  Cruising in her footsteps and launched at this January’s Tullett Prebon London Boat Show, the Sunseeker Predator 53 is her sportier “topless” sister.

The smallest in the Predator family (there are ten models in the range topping out at 130ft) the 53 is actually deceptively roomy offering more interior space than competitive boats whilst retaining the instantly recognisable sharp, sporty, bold Predator look with generous lashings of modern carbon materials.  Borrowing plenty of characteristics from the Manhattan version in terms of core comforts and detailing, the Predator does away with the flybridge to make it leaner in look and weight.

Sunseeker has been careful to envision an intuitive accommodation layout. The main deck saloon is split between two spacious social areas, one for lounging and the other with dinette seating, whilst the aft patio doors create a bright light barrier to the aft cockpit.  Interior design is contemporary yet timeless using natural tones to promote calm and relaxation.  A carbon sliding hardtop positioned above the helm forms the saloon roof.

Below deck, there are three spacious cabins – two doubles and a twin – alongside an extensive fully fitted galley area.  There is an additional, more simple, cabin arrangement for one crew member.  Equipment and finishings throughout this 53 footer reflect the Sunseeker’s approach to high standards.  Only first class calibre makes the grade from the finest fabrics to the latest in navigation aids used at the ergonomic yet aesthetically pleasing helm.

Outside, the large aft cockpit with its generous seating area is available to customers in two configurations – the first with a larger dedicated dining area and the second with extra sunbathing space to keep those guests bronzed and relaxed.  And, in a typical Predator touch, the teak planked hydraulic aft platform can sport a nippy tender or jetski for thrills and spills at sea.  She may be high performance, but she also fulfils the high expectations of a family boat.

Topping out at 33 knots powered by twin 800hp engines, the Sunseeker Predator 53 is yours for a starting price of £921,600.
