Open any tabloid newspaper and you’ll see the ranks of rich and famous messing around on fancy yachts.  In the past few weeks alone we’ve seen Myleene Klass, Ed Sheeran, Rafa Nadal, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mario Gotze, Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez, Will Smith, Lindsay Lohan… swanking about onboard gin palaces in the Mediterranean – we can’t help thinking we’re missing out.

Here are two options available from superyacht gurus YPI Group, and if you fall in love with them on charter, you can dig your chequebook out and buy them as they’re “seriously for sale”…

Ferretti 83 – Monticello II

New to the market and with just one previous owner, 83 foot (25.3 metre) Monticello II was built by Italian shipyard Ferretti in composite and to RINA class.  Designed by Rome-based Zuccon International Project, a team that has worked Ferretti for a number of years, Monticello II was delivered in 2006 and is in ready-to-use condition.

YPI Broker, Russell Crump, says, “We are very pleased to offer Monticello II for sale.  She is in superb condition with less than 1,400 engine hours and ready for a new owner to enjoy her this summer.  Monticello II is an ideal first yacht.  She is easy to run and offers lots of space and options for maximum enjoyment.  Potential buyers should be aware that she is now seriously for sale at a very competitive asking price with VAT already paid.”

Designed for eight guests in a master suite, VIP stateroom and two twin cabins, all with TVs and en-suite bathrooms, Monticello II also boasts a main saloon with leather-covered seating, an entertainment system with 32” LCD and formal dining for those eight guests.  Further al-fresco dining is available on the flybridge which also has a dual helm station, cocktail cabinet, fridge and electric grill.  Twin 2,030hp MTUs give a cruising speed of 23 knots and a maximum of 28.

Asking price 2.2 million euros (VAT paid).  Now available for viewings in Rosas, Spain.  Also available for charter this summer in the Balearics starting from 40,000 euros per week.

Bilgin 110 Fly – Madness

Built by Turkish yard Bilgin Yachts, established in 1929 in Istanbul, again to RINA class, this 110 foot (33 metre) yacht was delivered in 2010 to the same owner who now offers her seriously for sale.  She has also had the same crew from the get-go, who have meticulously maintained her throughout.

YPI Group’s Russell Crump says, “Madness is one of those yachts we bring into our fleet from time to time that we know is not going to stay on the market for very long.  Beautifully finished, offering lots of space, and at an attractive price, she really is in turnkey condition.  Madness is a one-owner yacht, with less than 1,300 engine hours, ready for a new owner to enjoy this summer.

She is announced at a great price and, like Monticello II, we don’t expect her to remain on the market very long.”

Accommodating eight guests in a master suite, two VIP staterooms and two single cabins, Madness has a fabulous space on the flybridge for entertaining with a sunroof, Spa pool, bar, fridge, dining table and sunlongers.  Twin 1,850 hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 15 knots.
